If you tuned out before the finish of the Facebook Home for Android event today, you may have missed the reveal of the first and only smartphone "built to feature Facebook Home," the aptly-named HTC First.
The HTC First announcement came towards the end of the event that was being held at the social network's headquarters in Menlo Park, California and revealed that it will be hitting markets on April 12. The First will be priced at $100 with a two-year contract and will be available exclusively from AT&T, with pre-orders being accepted now.
HTC and AT&T haven't revealed many of the First's specs, but it will have a 4.3-inch display and sport a "thin and modern" design with "soft edges." Available in black, white, red, and pale blue, the First will obviously also come preloaded with Facebook Home, as well as Instagram.
Though this is the first smartphone build specifically for Facebook Home, HTC is not the only company Facebook will be working with in its new venture. In addition to HTC, other Facebook partners include Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Alcatel One Touch, Lenovo, ZTE, EE, Qualcomm, and Orange.
