Good news for AT&T customers: the carrier will be releasing Samsung's newest flagship handset earlier than expected. Last week AT&T announced that it would offer the Galaxy SIV offering pre-orders with a ship date of April 30. But today, the carrier began notifying consumers that some pre-orders will arrive on April 25. The company later revealed via Twitter that the handset will be available in retailers on April 27, the same day as Sprint.
AT&T is currently offering the 16GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S IV for $200 with a two-year agreement.
The Hardware
The Galaxy S IV will offer a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 441ppi. The device will run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box and is powered by a 1.9GHz Quad-Core processor, with 2GB of RAM, and 16/ 32GB of internal memory with micro SD support. The handset also offers a 2,600 mAh battery and a 13MP rear-facing camera.
