The Galaxy S IV is on its way, and it will be available across seven carriers in the next coming weeks. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint have already announced their release dates, while Verizon has remained tight lipped. But on Wednesday, Verizon finally announced that it will begin offering preorders starting April 25 and available $250 with a $50 mail in rebate.
Users will be able to purchase the device in Verizon Wireless retailers starting May 30. There is, however, always the chance that the release date could end up getting pushed back, given what happened recently with T-Mobile and Sprint.
About the Hardware
The Galaxy S IV will offer a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and it will run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. The handset will be powered by a 1.9GHz Quad-Core processor, with 2GB of RAM, and a 16/32GB of internal memory with micro SD support. The smartphone will also house a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 2,600mAh battery.
