BlackBerry's second handset running its new BlackBerry 10 OS will be hitting the market soon, with news coming from T-Mobile on Wednesday that preorders for the BlackBerry Q10 will begin next week.
Unlike the first BlackBerry 10 handset, the Z10, the Q10 adopts a design similar to that of traditional BlackBerrys, sporting a physical QWERTY keyboard. Other specs include a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED (touch) display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Q10 will also be coming to AT&T and Sprint, but neither carrier has said anything yet regarding pre-orders or release timeframes.
T-Mobile was clear in saying that "business customers" will be able to pre-order the Q10 beginning April 29, though it did not specify when other customers would be able to do so (if their pre-order date is different). The carrier also did not provide any specifics regarding an actual release date or pricing -- though the price point is rumored to be $249 with a contract -- saying simply that the information would be shared "at a later date."
