Users waiting anxiously to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S IV might want to hold back just a bit, depending on their needs. Apparently, a ruggedized version of the smartphone is in the works.
According to a report from Techview.me, Samsung Gulf President Young Soo Kim said during a Q&A session following a press conference in the Middle East that the company is currently developing a ruggedized dust and water-resistant Galaxy S IV.
Kim gave no information on when the device would be available to customers or how much it would cost.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S IV have begun on various networks and the device will be available across seven carriers within the next month. The smartphone features a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and will run Android 4.2.2 Jellybean.
