Shortly After Images Leak, LG Optimus G Pro Specs Follow Suit

LG has an event scheduled to take place in New York City on May 1, where the company intends to reveals its Optimus G Pro smartphone. But at this point, it may be running out of reasons to have the event.

Earlier today, Twitter user @evleaks tweeted a purported image of the device and now Engadget has a list of supposed specs, courtesy of an anonymous tipster.

According to Engadget, the U.S. version of the device will sport nearly the same specs as the global model, including a 5.5-inch display, 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 3,140mAh battery, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

Despite many similarities, there are a few key differences between the U.S. and global models of the device, specifically in the screen technology. The U.S. model will use a Full HF IPS panel, whereas the global version employs True HS-IPS+ technology.

The U.S. model will also support AT&T's LTE, HSPA+21 and quadband GSM networks. The model will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jellybean and preloaded software including AT&T DriveMode and Navigator. Additional LG software is also preloaded onto the device, including QSlide 2.0, Dual Recording and VuTalk, which also come standard on the global model.
