Path, a personal social network app for iOS and Android, is now gaining new users at the astonishing rate of one million a week.
The app provides a social network with a big focus on both messaging and sharing "stickers." Path can also be integrated with a user's Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Tumblr accounts.
Path co-founder Dave Morin has attributed the massive growth to an upgrade -- which added a search feature -- at the beginning of this year.
Most New Users Speak English or Spanish
Path now tops nine million total users. Most of the new users have come from English and Spanish-speaking regions, most notably Central and South America.
Venezuela alone added 500,000 users in a single weekend.
Morin also said the new users are evenly split between the iOS and Android platforms. Path is free in both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
