Apple is reported to be releasing a low-cost iPhone alongside the iPhone 5S later this year, but new reports indicate it may be released in limited supply.
According to BGR, the rumored device is aimed at emerging markets and Apple is reportedly going to ship only 2.5 to 3 million units, as it waits to see the market?s response to the device.
The low-cost iPhone model is expected to be housed in a plastic case, indicated by a recently leaked image and is suspected to have a 4-inch display and run on an Apple A6 processor. The device will supposedly be manufactured by Foxconn and Pegatron.
Rumor also has it that the device is expected to be priced at under $350 before taxes and subsidies at the time of the launch.
