Navitel Updates Navigator App for Windows Phone 7.5

Navitel has released an update to its Navigator app for Windows 7.5 smartphones, adding a host of new features for GPS navigation.

Specifically, the new version 7.5,0.603 of the Navitel Navigator app for Windows Phone adds a social feature called Navitel.Friends, which allows users to view their friends' current locations, display the fastest routes to get to them, and chat directly from the GPS app.

The app also includes new services that alert users to traffic jams, road closures and detours due to upcoming events. Users can also view the weather and information about points of interest, including gas prices and movie times at surrounding theaters.

Available now as a free download in the Windows Phone Store, the updated app requires Windows Phone 7.5. Navitel Is also offering a 30-day free trial to new users.
