Mozilla Gives Away Free Phones to Spark Firefox OS App Development

Mozilla is offering free phones to spark development of apps for Firefox OS, a new competitor to iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and other mobile OS.

As Firefox OS ramps up, Mozilla is looking for developers to grab hold of the OS and create some apps. The new enticement is a free GeeksPhone Keon, of course running Firefox OS.

In order to qualify for the giveaway program, developers must submit proposals to Mozilla outlining the apps they're planning on building.

The program runs through the end of May or while supplies last, so interested developers should get their pitches in soon!
