Nokia Lumia 925 Windows Phone Headed for T-Mobile

At an event in London, Nokia has just taken the wraps off the Lumia 925, a new version of the Lumia 920. This upcoming Windows Phone will be the first in this series with a metal frame, and it will include other new features as well.

It will have a 4.5-inch, 1280x768 (WXGA), ClearBlack, Gorilla Glass 2 screen.

The smartphone will run Windows Phone 8 on a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 1 GB of RAM. There will be 16 GB internal memory, and while this model won't have a removable memory card slot, Microsoft does off 7 GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage.

The Lumia 925 will have an aluminum frame but a polycarbonate casing. This makes the device lighter than its predecessor, the Lumia 920.

New Camera App

Nokia has developed new camera software for this device that will eventually make it way to all the company's Windows 8 models.

Smart Camera will give users an easy way to capture ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus.

Coming to T-Mobile

in the U.S., the Nokia Lumia 925 will be a T-Mobile exclusive. The telecom has not yet announced when it will release this product, or what it will charge for it, however.

It will debut in the U.K., Germany, Italy, Spain, and China next month. The U.S. debut won't come until after this.

It is going to cost 470 Euros (around $600), although prices will vary a bit from country to country.
