When T-Mobile introduced its version of the iPhone 5 a month ago, it was asking $100 plus $20 a month for two years. The telecom has now bumped this up to a $150 down payment.
Apparently the $100 price was a promotion. "As America's Un-carrier, T-Mobile is committed to introducing the hottest new smartphones at unbeatable promotional prices -- but we all know promotions are temporary," the company said in a statement to FierceWireless.
Customers of this carrier also have the option to pay $650 for the iPhone 5 and make no monthly device payments.
