BlackBerry Announces Q5: QWERTY BB10 Smartphone

On Tuesday at BlackBerry Live in Orlando, the company revealed the Q5 BlackBerry 10 smartphone.The new BB10 handset is going to offer a familiar QWERTY form factor, reminiscent of the recently-released BlackBerry Q10, offering a 3.1-inch touchscreen with a hardware keyboard.

What makes the new Q5 different from the other devices offered in BB10 lineup? This device has been designed specifically for emerging markets. The handset is expected to rollout as early as July in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

The handset will be offered in three colors including black, red, and pink.

BlackBerry has yet to announce how much this new device will cost, but with July right around the corner, it shouldn't be too long before those details are revealed.
