Sony has announced a Japan-only Clie, the VZ90. The PDA features a bright 480 x 320 pixel display (3.8"), WiFi, Memory Stick and CF card slots, a huge battery and several multimedia oriented applications. It will sell for 80,000 Yen, roughly $730 US Dollars.
The display slides down to reveal hardware buttons in a design with similar goals to palmOne's Tungsten T series. The display can also convert between landscape and portrait views. The VZ90 will be powered by the Sony Handheld Engine which includes a CPU running at 123 MHz. Sony's latest effort is expected to go on sale at the end of this month.
