Verizon has posted a page on their site promoting the palmOne Treo 650 on their network. It doesn't look like there are any wholesale changes, the dial-up networking is still disabled (though it can be hacked to work) and there's no support for EVDO mentioned, though we know palmOne is working in that direction. Pricing and release date are not mentioned, but a form is available to sign up for notification of when the Treo 650 becomes available.
From the Verizon site:
The latest Smartphone from PalmOne - the Treo 650 will soon be certified on the Verizon Wireless network.
The Treo 650 has all the great features you'd want in a Smartphone -- and more! It comes loaded with Wireless Sync so you can send and receive email directly from your Smartphone and even synchronize your email with most POP3 and IMAP email accounts when you subscribe to a PDA/Smartphone plan.
Interested in the Treo 650? We'd be happy to send you an email notification when the phone is available.
