Right now you can only buy it from Nokia's site (http://www.nokiausa.com/communicator/buyit) with service through Voicestream. The price comes in at a very reasonable $599. Given this news and pricing combo, Handspring must be nervous. Their undermatched Treo 270 can't hope to hang with Nokia in this game. While size will be a factor, measuring 6.22" Long x 1.06" Deep x 2.20" Wide and weighing in at 8.6 ounces. The Treo is smaller in comparison, 4.2" x 2.8" x 0.82" and 5.4 ounces. The Communicator will clearly not be a pocket dweller.
The 9290 also comes with a bunch of pre-installed software goodies including:
Desk
Write a note and quickly reference your favorites.
Telephone
Manage your calls and use the integrated handsfree speakerphone to handle conference calls.
Messaging
Send and receive e-mail with attachments. Send and receive short messages and faxes wirelessly.
Internet
Browse the Internet using the HTML browser or WAP.
Contact Manager / Calendar
Keep organized with powerful PDA functionality.
Office
Edit and write documents and spreadsheets compatible with common office programs.
Extras
Control panel, calculator, imaging, fax modem, video player and more.
Much more is available on their CD full of optional programs. Also, if you buy now, you'll get $50 in credit to spend at Handango, which is always adding more Symbian OS applications.

I can't wait to get my hands on this little gem...Nokia was smart enough to couple free shipping with the offer too. Happy days are here.
