Last week bargainPDA.com was the first to report on the rumor of a new PDA offering from Sony, today Sony has confirmed the release of the SL10 at a price of $149.99 to fill the low end PDA market niche.
The SL10 will replace the S360 current low-end monochrome device. The SL10 has improved screen resolution, 320x320, over the S360 and it will also offer a USB connector on the PDA that should provide for such things as charging and HotSync. Those are both smart options, but the fact they have reduced the memory to 8MB on the SL10 from 16MB on the S360 is somewhat strange, and the SL10 will use AAA batteries and not an internal rechargeable Lithium-Ion.
