Sony has two chips in the works, the larger allowing for a stereo signal. The main hurdle in getting TV tuners smaller are the induction coils needed to translate the signals. Sony has bypassed this technology. The chips are small enough to work in PDA's, laptops and potentially anything else with a display.
The units should start shipping aound February of '03 at $300-$400. Prices will surely fall as product goes up...and who wants to bet that the next high-end Clie has this technology inside? That would be cool!
