Verizon Wireless offers a broad selection of smartphones from a wide array of companies, and running a variety of operating systems. Choosing from all of these isn’t an easy task, but Brighthand is here to help.

Below you’ll find a list of the very best Verizon has to offer, including models with Google’s Android OS, Apple’s iOS, RIM’s BlackBerry, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone. If you’re at a loss on which phone from this carrier to choose, these will serve as a good starting point.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus – This is the flagship model for Google’s Android. It has a 4.65-inch, 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display. It runs Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has 16GB of internal storage. Verizon’s version has 4G LTE, NFC, plus it has a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixel one on the front.

Those who like the latest-and greatest should consider the Galaxy Nexus. It’s the only model of any kind running Android ICS, and it has a super-fast 4G connection.

Apple iPhone 4S – The fifth-generation iPhone is a moderately-updated version of its predecessor, with a 1GHz dual-core processor and an 8 megapixel camera. Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX – This smartphone manages to have a very slim design while also packing the biggest battery of any model on this list: 3300mAh. In addition, it has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super AMOLED touchscreen, Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread), and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It can connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, and sports an 8 megapixel camera.

The Droid RAZR just launched a few months ago, but the RAZR Max is almost as thin and has a much longer battery life. An upgrade to Android OS 4.0 in in development.

A review of this newly-released model will be available soon.

BlackBerry Bold 9930 – The most powerful of RIM’s latest models is the Bold 9930, which runs the newly-released BlackBerry 7 OS on a 1.2GHz processor. This is the first in Bold series with a 2.8-inch Touchscreen as well as a keyboard. A 5-megapixel camera is on the feature list, too.
