TabletPCReview Gets Some Hands-on Time with the Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galaxy Tab was officially unveiled at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin yesterday, where Dragan Petric from Brighthand‘s sister site TabletPCReview got a chance to test out the upcoming tablet..

Samsung Galaxy TabThis model is going to sport a 7-inch Touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. It is seen many many as being one of the top competitors for the Apple iPad, but the Samsung model is going to be smaller and lighter than its rival.

The Galaxy Tab will run Android OS 2.2 on a 1 GHz processor, come with either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage, 512 MB of RAM, and have a microSD card slot good for up to another 32 GB.

It will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G support, and is going to be offered by wireless carriers in the U.S. and abroad later this year.
