O2 Germany is now taking pre-orders for the Motorola Milestone, the GSM version of the Motorola Droid. Potential customers may be surprised by the cost though, as an earlier rumor had said the price would be much lower than it actually is.

This carrier is asking €550 for this Android-based smartphone, while the previous rumor had said this figure would be €400.

02 is taking orders on its website, but it’s not clear when this model will actually ship.
