According to Pocket-lint, it looks like we might finally be seeing BlackBerry’s attempt at the popular 5-inch phone market – and soon. The BlackBerry Z30 is scheduled to launch in Asia later this week, with sales in the U.S. to follow in a few weeks. Despite the flagging sales of BlackBerry 10 handsets such as the Z10 and Q10, the quality of the hardware has never been in question.
Similarly, the Z30 looks to be of high build quality. Among the rumored specs for the upcoming Z30 are a 5-inch, 1280×720, SuperAMOLED display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor – likely a Snapdragon S4 of some flavor, 2GB RAM, and a 2,880 mAh battery. It’s expected to launch with the next update of BB10, which promises to fix a number of details and UI issues with the nascent operating system.
Other suspected specifications include 16GB of internal storage, micro-SD card support, 8MP rear camera, and possibly Qi wireless charging.
