Asus had on display a few of their recent PDA offerings and an upcoming VoIP integrated SmartPhone, the Asus P525. The P525 first showed up here at CeBIT 2006 and it appears to be a rather hot offering with a 2.0MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Quad-Band GSM all in a nice and small candy bar sized phone offering.
For those that have been in the dark for the past week, you might not have heard about the new Intel backed device that's being referred to as Origami. The "proper" name for the new style of device about to be released is actually UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer). We got hands on with devices from Samsung, Asus and Founder at CeBIT

Asus also had their new Pocket PC Phone, the Asus P505, on display at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan. This device should be available in Europe soon. Asus does not know when, if ever, the device will be available in North America. Thanks once again to U.S. wireless carriers. On the bright side though, it's GSM so you can buy this thing on the grey market and slap in your SIM card.
