While at the CES on Saturday we took a peak into both the Fossil and Microsoft booth to see what was going on. What we found is that both companies have a lot going on, and both companies are working with each other for a huge release in Fall 2003.
The Netac UCF Card is a CompactFlash card with a built-in USB port, Fossil's Wrist PDA won a Best of COMDEX award, Mapopolis will soon help you avoid traffic problems, and more.
PC Magazine has handed out their blue ribbons for best of breed and best of show for COMDEX Las Vegas. Fossil picks up a win for their new Palm OS watch, beating out the likes of the HP iPAQ h5450 and the Nokia 3650.
A few months ago, Fossil released watches that sync'd with both the Palm OS and PPC. The watch functionality was great, but the form factor was a major problem for most. Fossil has addressed this concern in their latest effort.
Is Fossil's new Wrist PDA the shape of things to come? Well, maybe not just yet.
Fossil released their first PDA enabled watch earlier this week, designed to compliment the Palm OS. With PDA's getting larger in many cases (see Clie NR70) Fossil is trying to solve the problem by letting you take critical data with you at all times.
As if cross-platform IR-talking between PDAs wasn't enough (PPC 2002 and Palm OS PDAs now talk natively), Fossil now aims to let them talk with the their new wristwatch, too.
