Aerodrome software has released version 5.3 of AeroPlayer, their Palm OS music player.

AeroPlayer turns your Palm Powered handheld into a portable music player by playing digital audio files stored on an expansion card. Just plug in your headphones and listen to your music anywhere you go.

Included in version 5.3 is their new AAC plug-in which allows you to play music encoded with Apple’s iTunes software.

The AAC plug-in does not play .m4p files encoded with Apple’s FairPlay DRM, but the unrelated Jhymn software will allow legal owners of iTunes tracks to remove the DRM encryption.

In addition, AeroPlayer offers CD-quality MP3, AAC, and Ogg Vorbis playback.
