There has been no shortage of leaks about the specs of the iPhone 5S, but this latest report is the most sizable yet, as it allegedly reveals almost all of the major specs of the upcoming Apple flagship.
The report, which comes from Weibo user C Technology, claims that the screen of the new iPhone will be a 4-inch IGZO Retina display (like its predecessor) and an A6 processor with quad-core SGX 554MP4 graphics and a faster clock than that of the iPhone 5. This is, however, contrary to earlier reports that the 5S would feature a new A7 chip.
Other specs cited in the report include 2GB of RAM, an upgraded LTE radio (which falls in line with earlier reports), a 12-megapixel camera (with dual-LED flash), NFC and, yes, a fingerprint scanner. The latter claim has recently gained a little more credibility, especially considering a recent report from Reuters that indicated that Apple will be making use of its acquisition of AuthenTec, a mobile security company, in the development of the iPhone 5S.
Also included in the report were pictures of the iPhone 5S’s case, which appears to be aluminum, seen here. The images were supposedly taken from the inside of a Foxconn factory.
