Those who are in the market for a new Samsung Galaxy S III can save a bundle by shopping online at Amazon, rather than going to their wireless carrier.

Samsung Galaxy S IIIAlthough most Americans typically buy their smartphones directly from their telcos, that isn’t always the way to get the best prices. For example, Amazon Wireless has the Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint Galaxy S III for as little as half the regular $200 price.

The Verizon’s and Sprint’s versions are priced at $100 for new subscribers, or $150 for current customers who qualify for an upgrade.

Amazon has AT&T’s version for $119 for new subscribers or $139 for renewing ones.

All of these prices require a new or renewed two-year wireless service contract. They are for the versions with 16GB of built-in storage capacity.
