In an iPAQ-esque move, Toshiba has confired two new units, which are near mirrors of each other. The Pocket PC e330 and e335. They differ in price by $50 and have a subtle difference in their software package.
Perhaps the biggest shock of all is that neither of these devices will sell for $300 or below. The e335 will sell for $399 and has a $50 rebate. The e330 will sell for $349.
I must say that I’m quite dissapointed with this effort by Toshiba. Especially given today’s news of ViewSonic dropping the price on the V35 to $249. As it stands I don’t see any reason to pay the extra $100 for the Toshiba. While it does have the nice USB port, I’m not seeing any other major advantages the Tohshiba’s have over the V35.
