T-Mobile just announced that customers who own the HTC Sensation 4G may start upgrading to Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) today. A similar upgrade for the HTC Amaze 4G will be available next week.
A handful of features have been included for both devices including Sense 3.6 UI (HTC’s overlay), system bar enhancements, re-sizeable widgets, lock screen actions including pull down notifications, data usage controls, Face Unlock, home screen folders, and an improved battery life, text input, spell checking, and menu structure. Both the Amaze 4G and Sensation will receive essentially the same upgrade.
The update for the Sensation is now available OTA or through a manual update, while the Amaze version is scheduled for May 21.
