AppForge Supports .NET Platform, Adds Palm OS 5 and Series 60 Support

AppForge has announced a new product called Crossfire to support the Microsoft .NET platform. Crossfire is a mobile and wireless application development environment for Visual Studio .NET 2003 and the .NET platform. Crossfire allows developers to create .NET applications for Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian, and Nokia Series 60 handhelds and smartphones. Crossfire is expected to be available in December and will be $899, though licensees of the AppForge Enterprise Developer Seat can obtain Crossfire at no additional cost.

MobileVB 4.0, a Visual Basic 6.0 development platform, has also been released by AppForge. Support has been added for Palm OS 5 and Nokia Series 60 devices such as the Palm Tungsten, Sony Clie, Nokia 3650, 7650, and 6600. The new version of MobileVB is currently available for $899, while those who purchased the previous version between September 1 and October 27 will receive a free upgrade.
