The latest update to the system software for Apple’s smartphones and handhelds is now available through iTunes.
According to Apple, iPhone 2.2.1 offers “improved general stability of Safari”. Exactly how the default iPhone web browser is being made more stable isn’t revealed.
The official description of this update says that it includes:
- Improved general stability of Safari
- Fixed issue where some images saved from Mail do not display correctly in the Camera Roll
- Fixed issue that caused some Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio files to skip during playback [iPod Touch]
To install this update, connect the iPhone to a computer running iTunes and follow the instructions.
