Apple has been nothing short of formulaic with its previous product releases, but it seems the company is ready to break the mold this upcoming fall season with the release of two new iPhone models. The company of course will be issuing a new iteration of its flagship handset, the iPhone 5S, which is reported to offer a number of changes including a faster processor, an improved camera and a fingerprint scanner.
But Apple also appears poised to release a new budget-friendly handset, currently dubbed the “iPhone 5C”. New images of the purported handset were released on Monday from insider, Sonny Dickson. The high-resolution photos mark the second gallery detailing the budget iPhone from Dickson, and this time, the photos showcase the handset in a green shell casing.
Unfortunately, no new details were unearthed from the recent images, but the bright green cover does bolster previous claims that suggest that Apple will release the iPhone 5C in a variety of different color options. Though specs have yet to leak, the phone is expected to be a mid-range device that sells for somewhere around $400 unsubsidized.
Apple’s next generation flagship, the iPhone 5S is expected to be unveiled during a press conference on September 10, and it is likely that Apple will take the opportunity to reveal the iPhone 5C there as well.
