ASUS has posted on its support site an update for the MyPal A716 which fixes a small problem with its Wi-Fi software.
Currently the A716 displays only the first 10 letters of its MAC (Media Access Control) address. This makes it impossible to use this handheld with wireless networks that prevent unwanted users by specifying that only devices with certain MAC addresses can connect.
This patch will fix this problem. It will update the A716’s WiFi-Me to 0.1.2.
It is, of course, free of charge and can be found on the ASUS support web site. It is available in a number of languages.
ASUS recommends that all users install this patch.
