At the Computex tradeshow, going on now in Taipei Taiwan, ATP has announced plans to release a 4 GB SD card.
This card will be a part of the company’s new ProMax line of memory cards, which will conform to the latest SD v1.1 system specification, and will be offer up to read data at up to 20 MB/s and write data at up to 18 MB/s. Of course, the SD slot itself will have to support this data transfer speed, which most do not.
ATP says its 4GB SD card will be available during the fourth quarter of this year for an undisclosed price.
ATP also plans to begin offering a line of MMCmicro cards.
This format was first introduced by Samsung at end of last year, and has announced several phones that use these cards.
The highest capacity MMCmicro card ATP will initially offer will be 512MB.
