Though news of pricing for the LG Thrill 4G at Radio Shack broke a few days ago, AT&T has just announced its official price for the 3D handset.
Despite Radio Shack’s cost of $80 with a two-year contract for the smarthphone, AT&T has marked the “glasses-free” 3D handset at $100, also after a two-year contract agreement, at the company’s retail stores.
While the carrier remains coy about an exact shipping date, Radio Shack promised customers a release date of August 7.
LG Thrill Preview
The LG Thrill 4G will launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and includes a dual-core 1GHz dual-channel RAM processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone will essentially be the U.S. version of the LG Optimus 3D and will feature two 5MP stereoscopic 3D cameras on the back, which can record 720p video in 3D and 1080p video in 2D. The smartphone will also sport a 1.3MP front-facing camera and based on its name, the device will support AT&T’s HSPA+ 4G network.
The 3D handset will come pre-loaded with three games, N.O.V.A., Let’s Golf 2 and Asphalt 6, all of which will benefit from the phone’s 3D display. Users will be able to play videos back in high definition through its HDMI-out port or stream content wirelessly through DLNA technology.
