Orange is holding a 3-day “Code Camp” for mobile application developers in France and one lucky attendee will walk (or should we say “ride”) away with a new Segway HT.
The event, to be held at Futuroscope in Poitiers, France on September 13-15, is open to the first 250 developers to register at www.eventreg.com/orangecodecamp. The fee is 120 Euros, which includes all accommodation and food, attendance at any of the sessions, and as much technical support as you want during the event.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about and fully understand Orange mobile application requirements and the various routes-to-market
- Become familiar with development, testing, certification and validation requirements from Orange and the various Operating Systems, including Palm OS
- Train and code, build and customize applications for possible commercialization with Orange
- Physically test applications against devices across the Orange 2G and 3G networks
Developers will have the opportunity to attend over one hundred 40-minute sessions over the three days featuring presentations and interactive workshops. Sessions will be duplicated throughout the event to allow plenty of opportunities to become involved, and will cover areas such as Content, Network and APIs, Operating Systems and execution environments, and the process of testing, signature and validation.
? In addition, during the day and throughout the night, developers can gain technical information, build and code applications and test them over the Orange 2G and 3G network against a range of Orange signature devices and SIM cards.
