A cryptic message on AT&T Wireless’ website promises that something “exciting” is coming soon. The top contender: the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone.
Back in January, AT&T committed to offering this smartphone but kept quiet about when. Nokia was a bit more forthcoming, saying the debut would be this month. Several unconfirmed reports have even pegged the date: March 18.
The note on the AT&T website is unusually vague. Under the heading “Coming Soon!” is the note, “Get ready to see an excitiing new addition to our lineup.” So this could be almost anything, but given the timing, Nokia’s new flagship phone is the most likely possibility.
Preview of the Nokia Lumia 900
This model will be the first Windows Phone with support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network. It is going to run Microsoft’s mobile operating system on a 1.4GHz single-core processor.
The Lumia 900 will have a 4.3-inch, 800 x 480 (WVGA), ClearBlack AMOLED display. This model will have an 8MP rear-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a 1MP front-facing camera for videoconferencing. It will include 16GB of storage and an 1830mAh battery.
The price of this Nokia Windows Phone has yet to be announced.
