Blue Nomad, LLC has introduced the first Mac OS X version of BackupBuddy 2 for Palm OS.

As it’s name suggests, this application provides a complete backup solution for both consumer and enterprise customers.

BackupBuddy 2 has been available for Windows users for some time, but this is the first OS X version. This contains all the features present in its Windows counterpart and works both with the MissingSync from MarkSpace, as well as with the standard HotSync software as supplied by PalmOne.

This application offers a unique process for maintaining a complete history of any given device’s files and settings.

This means that users can restore individual files or their entire device to any previous point in time with the click of a button, a process Blue Nomad has named ZoomBack.

“Mac users need not ever fear loosing any data knowing that BackupBuddy is keeping track of each and every change that they make to their devices, and can restore them to working condition with the press of a button,” says Alexis S. Hinds, CEO of Blue Nomad.

Pricing and Availability

BackupBuddy 2 is available now from Blue Nomad’s web site for $29.95.

With this purchase comes a license for BackupBuddyVFS Personal, which allows users to back up their handheld’s critical files to an SD/MMC card or Sony Memory Stick.
