Socket Connection Products Compatible with Windows Mobile 2003

Socket Communications today announced that its broad range of CF and new SDIO form factor connection products work with Windows Mobile 2003, Microsoft’s newest version of software for Pocket PC devices. Drivers for its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other cards are available in the company’s support area.

In conjunction with the launch of Windows Mobile 2003, Socket is offering a $40 rebate on its Low Power WLAN Card for the next 60 days. During the same period, customers can visit www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/wifi to take advantage of a 30-day free Wi-Fi service offer from T-Mobile, Wayport, or Boingo, as well as get more information about the Socket WLAN card rebate.

New Pocket PC Games

XI-ART has released five games for the Pocket PC, including Cattery, Towers, Pick11, ZooPip, and WonderBall. Customers who purchase the games by August 1 will get a 24% discount on two games. There is a 38% discount on the complete set of five games, so it’s $36.55 for the entire package. Astraware Announces Insaniquarium Update

Astraware has launched its Insaniquarium game for Palm HiRes+ and Pocket PC devices. The new versions take advantage of the 320×480 HiRes+ Sony Clie devices and the 240×320 screen size of the Pocket PC by adding a landscape format that brings a new dimension to the game.
