Dell is no longer offering rebates on either of its Axim X5 Pocket PC models. However, it is currently including a free 64 MB SanDisk CompactFlash card with the purchase of either the X5 Entry at $250 or the X5 Advance at $350.

Sony has posted a new version of ClieFiles on its support web site. The most significant new feature is it can extract the contents of ZIP files stored on Memory Sticks.

Sprint, Hewlett Packard, and Novatel Wireless have teamed up to offer a discount on a wireless package. Business customers who purchase an HP iPAQ 3900 series Pocket PC can get a free Merlin C201 PCS Connection Card from Novatel Wireless, free activation, and waived monthly service charges for the first month if they sign up for a PCS Vision Plan for laptops and PDAs with a 2-year PCS Advantage Agreement. This offer is good until June 22.

PalmGear says its catalog of software now contains more than 17,000 titles, making it the largest Palm OS application directory in the world.

MetalShard will soon be releasing a new version of Pocket War. Version .97 will include an entirely new graphics set and network based multiplayer. Pocket War is a strategic turn-based war game much like the old Empire games. A beta of v.97 is available. Pocket War costs $20.

Simple Internet Fax 1.0 from AdvMathAppl allows users to send faxes from a Palm OS device via the Internet. However, it can’t receive faxes. It is $5.

Amazon has a deal for an iPAQ thumb keyboard which works with the 3800, 3900, and 5400 series. It costs $40, which is $10 off the usual cost.

Crimson Fire is offering a 10% discount off the cost of all its Palm OS games, including Kyle’s Quest 2, Galactic Realms, and Kyle’s Quest Classic.
