Staples is now offering a 32 MB PNY SD card for free after a rebate. The card costs $30 and there is a $30 rebate.

Hewlett Packard has posted iPAQ Pocket PC h5400 Battery Driver 2.00 on its support site. According to HP, this corrects a problem with the Standby Power Setting value where the iPAQ would sometimes not operate on battery power. It also fixes a bug where the iPAQ would not recognize the CF memory card after a reset.

ZZTECHS Limited has released ZLauncher 3.0, which functions as both a replacement application launcher for Palm OS handhelds and a file manager. It supports regular resolution screens as well as hi-res and hi-res+. It is $12.

Aventail has announced plans to release a SSL VPN client for the Pocket PC. Available on April 30, support for Pocket PC will be a standard feature for users of Aventail OnDemand, a Java SSL VPN agent.

JOBO has announced the Apacer Disc Steno CP100. This can burn images onto a CD directly from flash memory cards. It supports CompactFlash Type I and II, IBM MicroDrive, Memory Stick, SD, MMC, and SmartMedia. It can use CD-R and CD-RW disks. It can be connected to a Windows or Mac desktop via USB 2.0. The CP100 will be available April 21 for $300.
