Free Day of Wi-Fi
Intel will be teaming up with leading hotspot location owners to make today a day of free Wi-Fi access. Hotspots with free access are located in bookstores, cafes, hotels, airports, and restaurants across the country. There will also be One Unwired Day Festivals in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and special events in Seattle.

Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus Now Available
Handmark has released the Oxford American Dictionary and Thesaurus for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds. The dictionary features more than 100,000 entries and definitions, as well as a “word of the day” option to help users improve their vocabulary skills. The thesaurus includes 175,000 synonyms with full cross-referencing to the dictionary. Full expansion card support is also included, as well as a recently viewed word list, three color schemes, and a six page pronunciation guide. A Windows Smartphone version is expected to be released shortly.
Other Oxford reference titles will available from Handmark in the coming months, though the specific book titles have not yet been announced.

Dataviz PDA Playground Now Available For Pocket PC
PDA Playground is an application designed for children that includes six favorite games. Since a password is required to exit the application, parents can allow their children to play without fear of losing any personal data. Primary uses include car trips, restaurants,waiting rooms, etc. where children may need to be entertained. PDA Playground requires a Pocket PC 2002 or 2003 device. The Activities screen allows the user to see everything related to a contact in one place, and KeyDates now includes support for Microsoft Outlook recurrence patterns. It is also now possible to search each word in the first line of a note with the Smart Look Up feature. And KeyResolver on the desktop helps users clear up all synchronization conflicts quickly and easily.
KeySuite allows owners of Palm Powered handhelds to synchronize their most important information with Microsoft Outlook, including Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes.

RifleSLUGS-W Now Available For Palm OS Devices
RifleSLUGS-W is the wireless sequel to the original RifleSLUGS games. It is now possible for players to battle each other via Infrared or Bluetooth communication on their Palm OS device, or users can connect to a special game server on their wireless Palm OS device or use the Palm OS emulator on a desktop PC using standard TCP/IP protocol. In-game chat is also possible with an in-game dialogue box. The game alone, which includes eight different maps, is $19.95, and two additional map pack add-ons are available for $5 each.
