Hewlett Packard posted a ROM upgrade for the iPAQ h5400 series on its support site. According to the description, this update improves headset volume and modifies DM_K.exe to enhance processor resources.

Amazon has a special on a Viking 1GB CompactFlash Card. The price is $235 plus there is a $50 rebate, bringing the final price down to $185. For comparison, the list price is $522.

Orange SA appears to have made one of the classic errors for a tech company. It announced an updated version of its Smartphone 2002 handset while it still had a large numbers of the original version unsold. According to Mobile magazine, customers are waiting for the new one. The SPV e100 has been delayed until Orange can reduce its inventory of the original version.

AerodromeSoftware has released AeroPlayer 2.0, an updated version of its audio player for the Palm Tungsten T. It now includes a graphic equalizer. It costs $9 until the end of this month.

PhatWare has released Calligrapher 6.5.1, which offers support for new languages and better performance. This app adds natural handwriting recognition capability to Pocket PCs. It costs $40.

The mysterious company developing the CompactFlash memory card drivers for the Sony NX Series and NZ90 is called EruWare. The developer has posted a status update on ClieSource. In addition to read and write support, the beta is now working with the built-in multimedia apps. This driver will probably cost $27 when available.
