Infinite Venture is developing Lands of Shadowgate, a turn-based strategy game that utilizes Infinite Venture’s Play-By-Sync technology to allow handheld and smartphone owners, including Pocket PC and Palm OS 5, to compete against each other over the Web. This lets players without wireless play on the road, return to their desk, and automatically sync the game with the company’s servers. Players on wireless handhelds will be able to play this game at any time. All players on all devices, with or without wireless, will be able to play against each other. Lands of Shadowgate will be in open beta in December and available commercially in the first quarter of next year.
