Amazon is offering rebates on a large number of handhelds. This includes $25 rebates on the HP iPAQ h1910, Palm Tungsten T, Toshiba e740, and the Sony TG50 and SJ33. Even better, Amazon has $50 rebates on the iPAQ 5455, Tungsten W, Sharp Zaurus SL-5600, and Sony NX60. This is just some of the models. The full list is on the Amazon site.

Toshiba has posted on its support site the End User Update 3 for the e310 and e740. This includes an updated version of the Windows Media Player and a variety of bug fixes. It has also released an updated USB driver for all its models except the Genio series.

BugLord is a new strategy game in which the player uses insects to build a nest then conquer other player’s nests. Games can be played against the computer or up to four other players head-to-head or over the Internet. The Pocket PC and Windows versions are available now; a Palm OS one is expected shortly. Prices range from $15 to $20.

HandSmart has released FlashPack, which allows users to make Macromedia Flash files into standalone executables for the Pocket PC. This is a Windows-based application from which the user publishes Pocket PC runtimes. Prices range from $50 to $400 depending on version.

Notify Technology Corp. has introduced NotifyLink for the Treo communicator. This is an email solution for GroupWise and NetMail users. It costs $100 per year.

Xigma Style Japan is now offering silver metallic leather cases for the Sony NZ90 and TG50. These cost $70 each, which includes shipping.
