Palm Inc. has posted onto its website the File Manager Update, a patch for the Palm m125, m500, m505, m515, m130, i705 and Tungsten W handhelds. It resolves a problem formatting high-capacity expansion cards (128MB or greater).

Aerodrome Software has released a third public beta of AeroPlayer, an audio player for the Palm Tungsten T. This latest version supports playing MP3 files from external memory cards with a plug-in, in addition to Ogg/Vorbis audio files. This app is free during the beta period.

Mapopolis has released Major Roads Maps, which allows users to generate coast-to-coast, address-to-address directions directly on the handheld, without a need to connect to a PC or the internet to generate each trip or segment. The Major Roads Maps “stitch” to Mapopolis county maps. Drivers can load the Major Roads Maps and any areas that they would like detailed coverage of. It works with Mapopolis? Viewer for the Palm OS and Pocket PC. platforms.

Macromedia has posted on its site a guide for Using Macromedia Flash on the Sony Clie NX Series, written by Phillip Torrone, perhaps better known as pt.

Toysoft, Inc.. has released KidzTalk-Calc, a simple talking calculator for Palm OS 5 handhelds. Numbers are read in plain English. The result of an expression are read in plain english, also. It costs $6.
