BrightBytes™: Treo 270, Toshiba e750, Sakoman and More

T-Mobile is going to offer a co-branded version of the Handspring Treo 270 in its stores and on its website. The 270 already worked on T-Mobile’s networks but this agreement will greatly raise the profile of this smartphone.

A representative from Toshiba will be at the next San Francisco Mobile Computing SIG demonstrating the e750, which hasn’t been announced yet but probably will have by the time this meeting is held on the 19th. (Read more about the e750 and e755.)

Earlier this month, it was announced that Steve Sakoman had left his post as head of Palm OS development for PalmSource. At the time, no reason was given. It turns out he is returning to his old company. He has been made a Vice President at Apple, according to CNet.

Dell is now offering the Axim X5 line in Australia. The Basic model sells for $580 AUS while the Advanced one is $780 AUS.

A judge has ordered Research in Motion and NTP into arbitration in their patent infringement lawsuit. He also tabled a request from NTP that would stop the Blackberry wireless service, pending the results of the arbitration.
