Two Classic Games Available from Handmark

Handmark has released the Official Tetris Classic Game Pak for Pocket PC, which includes nine games: Classic Tetris, PocketChess, Colors, Backgammon, Checkers, and 4 different versions of Solitaire. Tetris features high resolution graphics and is designed to sound and play just like the original. The Tetris Classic Game Pak is priced at $29.95.

Handmark announced the release of Battleship, the classic naval combat game, for Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds. Players can battle against the computer or with friends, using either one or multiple handheld devices. Features include high resolution graphics, adjustable sound volume, and two gameplay modes. Battleship costs $19.95, and is available now as an online purchase, with retail store availability coming this fall.

ATP Debuts 512 MB MMC Card

ATP 512MB MultiMediaCard ATP Electronics has announced the world’s first 512MB MultiMediaCard. These can also be used in most portable devices that have a Secure Digital (SD) slot.

According to Kent Eisenberg, product marketing manager at ATP, “MultiMediaCards offer a much more attractive price point than SD cards since there are no licensing fees. In addition, MMCs were developed for all the leading open systems platforms, making it an open standard available to any company who wants to improve upon it or develop products around it.?

StarCaddy and iQue 3600 Make Good Golf Buddies

LinksPoint has released a version of its StarCaddy golf GPS yardage and range finding software for the Garmin iQue 3600, a new Palm OS Handheld with an integrated GPS receiver. Golfers can use StarCaddy to determine the exact yardage to any course feature (greens, hazards etc) and keep score. It uses digital course maps created from satellite and aerial imagery to display the exact position of the golfer and all course features.

A trial version of StarCaddy comes with the iQue 3600. The full version is $49.95 and can be purchased at the LinksPoint web site.

New Cases for Tungsten C, Samsung i700

Vaja Cases is now taking pre-orders an I-Volution leather case for the Palm Tungsten C. This case is lined with ABS plastic to protect the handheld and offers two SD slots. The price starts at $105, though the company is offering a $20 credit to those who pre-order.

The company is also going to begin taking pre-orders in the next day or so for a new Classic case for the Samsung i700 Pocket PC Phone.
