As its name suggests, Used buys and sells used handhelds. It primarily concentrates on Pocket PC models but also handles ones with Palm OS, Psion, and others. As the site has just started up it has few units to sell but is trying to make lots of purchases of iPAQs and Jornadas.

eCost has a Viking 512 MB CompactFlash card for $90 after a $50 manufacturer mail-in rebate. This offer is good through April 30.

Dell has posted on its support site a new ROM update for its Axim line. This includes all the fixes the previous update did, plus it takes care of a “Pocket Internet Explorer issue that produced an error when connecting to certain web sites”.

SoundManager 1.0 is a new Palm OS utility that can automatically adjust a handheld’s sound levels. For example, the user can set SoundManager to turn off audible alarms and turn on vibrate mode during the length of all Date Book entries that contain the word “meeting” or “church”. It works with Palm OS 3.5 through OS 5. SoundManager costs $5.

PocketTV has released a public beta of a Microsoft’s Smartphone 2002 version of its MPEG viewer. Download and installation instructions are available on MoDaCo SmartPhone.
