CodeJedi.com has released XCade 1.2.2, the first arcade emulation system for the Palm OS, allowing users to play some classic arcade games. XCade runs only on the OS 5 units such as the Palm Tungsten T and the Sony NX series. It currently supports Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Galaxian, Pacman, Ms. Pacman, and Space Invaders but the ROMs must be obtained separately. XCade is $7.50. There are versions of MAME for the Pocket PC which can play many more of the ROMs.

AvantGo is moving forward, albeit a bit slowly, with a version of its flagship application that supports Palm OS 5. Yesterday, a few users were asked to join a closed beta program for a new version. Reportedly, the beta being tested is still quite buggy.

CLICKGAMER has released Cropped Out for the Pocket PC Platform. This is a fast-paced arcade action puzzle game that sells for $15. Palm OS versions will follow in early 2003.

IBM, Palm, and MARGI are offering a presentation bundle. An IBM iLM300 MicroPortable projector, Palm m515, and MARGI Presenter-to-Go SD are available for $3000, a savings of $550. This offer is good through March 31, 2003.

Jason Dunn from Pocket PC Thoughts has joined Spb Software House as Vice President of Marketing. He will continue to work for the web site he founded, as well.
